The Captcha Code is confirmation that you are a real person and is there to stop spammers using robots to hack our website. When you register the Captcha Code is the five numbers to the right of the box. Just type those into the box as they are displayed
Usually when you are registering the software won't recognise a user name if there are spaces or gaps in it. So Gene Books, should be written GeneBooks or Genebooks etc. When you are trying to log in it can also mean that your user name isn't recognized because of a misspelling or an omission.
Yes certainly. As you browse through the website, add the books that interest you to your shopping cart. When you have finished you can remove any that you're not sure about and then click on the paypal checkout button.
At the top of each page you will see a menu bar with England, Scotland etc. Hold your mouse over the country you are interested in and a drop down menu – History, Genealogy etc – will appear. Click on one of those links to see the list of books available in that category.
There are a few ways to like or rate our Ebooks. When you go to a book page, under the description you will see a row of five stars and a heart symbol. You can click on any of the stars to give it a three, four, five star rating and clicking on the heart symbol will register your like. You can also leave a comment on the book, by completing the form below the description and it will be sent for approval by an admin.

No you can simply download them as a guest. The registration process is solely to protect your purchases and for you to keep track of them.

This will depend on the PDF reader you are using. Genealogy Ebooks recommend Adobe Acrobat Reader and we will give instructions here for that program. Open your Ebook, at the top of the page click on Edit and then Advanced Search, near the bottom of that window. When the search window pops up type in your search term, name, place name etc and click search. You will then be given a list of all pages which contain your search term. Click on the links to go to the actual pages.
We have tried to make the process of buying your E-books as easy as possible, so as you look through our site and find the E-books you are interested in, add them to your shopping cart. When you are finished, click on checkout, and you will be able to log in to your account or register for a new one. It’s free and easy to set up. When you are sure that you have all of the E-books you need you can then checkout with your PayPal account. Once your payment is received you will have instant access to your E-Books from your account control panel.

No, you can rate, like and comment on books as a guest, but you'll be able to give a better review if you have actually read the book!
Registration is free and easy. Once you have registered, you will be able to monitor your purchases and download them in your Downloads Area.
You don't need a Paypal account to pay us with Paypal. You can use your Credit Card on the Paypal website just as you would in other online stores.
No we don't. Your transaction is strictly between you and Paypal. We get a notification once the payment has been cleared.
Once you have paid with paypal and the payment is accepted, you can download them immediately via your account's download section.
The original software we used to deliver our ebooks only allowed us to download them in rar or zip format. Our new system allows us to upload the books directly and for our members to download them in their original format.
